Circular Economy Investments
What is the Circular Economy?
The Circular Economy is a transformative model of production and consumption that aims to preserve product and material value for as long as feasible. This strategic approach seeks to minimize the utilization of hazardous substances and finite resources, including carbon, while proactively preventing waste generation and inefficiencies. This model ensures that at the end of their life cycle, products are recovered, reused, or repurposed in a manner that is sustainable and protective of both human health and the environment, thus fostering decarbonization and creating incremental value.
Investment is anticipated to escalate across seven key sectors that are distinguished by high resource intensity and substantial potential for circular transformation:
- Electronics and Battery Storage
- Automotive and Vehicle Components
- Packaging, Plastics, and Glass
- Food and Agriculture
- Textiles
- Construction and Buildings
As the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, we acknowledge the Circular Economy as a critical pillar of sustainable development and are therefore dedicated to diversifying our funding sources for projects focused on circular themes, which we expect will experience exponential growth in the coming years. We remain committed to providing robust financial support for investments structured around these transformative goals.
