Approximately 70% of our resource portfolio is dedicated to renewable energy projects, with backing from distinguished institutions such as the World Bank, the German Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, and the French Development Agency.
By providing tailored financial solutions to investors holding renewable energy generation licenses, we contribute to the strategic national objectives of enhancing energy supply, phasing out fossil fuel consumption, and reducing external dependency on energy imports.
Solar Power Plant (SPP) – Land-Based and Rooftop SPP Investments
Solar Power Plants (SPPs) are systems specifically designed to serve as alternatives to fossil fuels, such as natural gas and coal, by converting solar radiation into electrical energy.
Our Bank finances both licensed and unlicensed land-based and rooftop solar power plants, utilizing foreign currency resources secured from supranational development organizations.
Investments in Rooftop SPPs enable enterprises to generate their own electricity for self-consumption. This capability enables businesses to meet their long-term energy needs through solar power, thereby reducing operational costs while contributing to the production of eco-friendly renewable energy. Furthermore, within defined regulatory frameworks, firms that produce energy in excess of their self-consumption can sell the surplus electricity back to the grid.

Distributed Energy Generation (DEG) refers to modular, decentralized power generation facilities located at or near the point of consumption that employ renewable energy sources.
This model of distributed generation empowers organizations to generate clean, reliable energy from various sources, including hydro, solar, wind, and geothermal. A key advantage of this approach is the minimization of transmission and distribution losses inherent in traditional centralized grids. Geothermal Power Plants (GPP) are specialized systems designed to convert this captured thermal energy into electrical power.
As a sustainable energy source, geothermal energy produces zero carbon emissions and does not contribute to air pollution, making it an essential alternative to conventional power generation.
In recent years, electricity generation from geothermal sources in Türkiye has witnessed significant growth. Consequently, Türkiye has achieved the distinction of being the leading nation in Europe and fourth globally in geothermal power production.
