Participation Finance

In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, our Bank is committed to enhancing its financial diversity while continuing its engagement in participation finance through a hybrid model, operating under the guidance of the Advisory Committee and adhering strictly to the principles, standards, and regulations governing interest-free banking.

In accordance with the "Communiqué on Compliance with Participation Principles," published in the Official Gazette on December 19, 2025, and numbered 33112, our Bank effectively executes Product Development, Ratification, and Documentation processes, ensuring seamless coordination through robust corporate governance.

Our Bank and the Advisory Committee convene 4 (four) ordinary meetings per year, scheduled quarterly. In addition, coordination meetings are organized between our Bank’s Audit Committee and the Advisory Committee to enhance the efficacy of internal control and oversight processes.

In this framework, our Bank offers its customers "Murabaha Transactions for Commodity Procurement" and "Project Finance Based on Financial Leasing or Installment Sales" products.

Participation finance is a banking system based on interest-free banking activities and Islamic finance principles. This system has a distinct legal infrastructure compared to conventional banking and operates within a specific legal framework. For participation finance to operate effectively and provide secure services to customers, certain legal regulations and oversight mechanisms are required.

As the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, we operate under the framework of the Banking Law No. 5411 and adhere to the provisions of the Regulation on Loan Transactions of Banks, prepared in accordance with the relevant articles of this Law. Our financing options are exclusively available through interest-free methods, as specified in the initial paragraph of the relevant regulation. By leveraging Islamic funds from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), we effectively address the investment and working capital financing needs of our clientele.
