Sustainable Development Academy

As the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, we launched the Sustainable Development Academy project in our 51st year of operation. With the mission to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted at the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015, we are forging partnerships with state and foundation universities across Türkiye. These collaborations will encompass developing course content on sustainability and climate change for both undergraduate and graduate programs, organizing seminars, and establishing joint working groups with academic institutions. Our objective is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience between academia and the business world, thereby taking decisive strides towards creating social and environmental value for the sustainable development of Türkiye.

We regard these partnerships with universities as a pivotal milestone in our country’s pursuit of its sustainable development goals. leveraging the Bank’s expertise and knowledge in sustainability, these initiatives will not only elevate awareness within the academic community but also extend their impact into the business sphere with robust academic endorsement. We are committed to joining forces and collaborating with our universities to ensure a sustainable future for future generations.
