E-mail Fraud

The e-mails that you frequently use in your daily communications can get into the hands of malicious individuals through various methods. By social engineering, attackers who collect information from you or access your information by any means can send you e-mails with harmful content, obtain information such as your access information, financial information, and infect the device you are using with malware. Regarding the precautions to be taken against e-mail fraud, we kindly ask you to pay attention to the following issues as a minimum.

In this context;

  • Pay close attention to e-mails sent from suspicious or unexpected / unknown sources, if possible, do not open them.
  • Never open links and attachments in the e-mail that you do not trust or that you find suspicious.
  • Do not open your e-mails on untrusted or shared devices. If you log in to devices that you do not trust due to necessity, never save your password and log out securely with the log out option.
  • Change the password you use for your e-mail periodically and do not use the same password on different platforms.

We kindly ask you not to respond to fraudulent e-mails that appear to be sent by the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, and not to try to reach the websites of the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye by clicking on the unofficial links that can be found in such e-mails.
